Meet David

David Rivet i wood at-
ist specializing in sculptures using naturally formed wood pieces obtained from shaped limbs, branches, hollowed trunks, vines and other wood growths. David travels throughout Oregon to obtain these naturally formed wood pieces from downed timber or trimmed or discarded woody plants. Often, David is provided this type of wood from those who know of his creative work.
David's journey into the world of natural wood art began more than a decade ago as a creative and relaxing outlet, carving walking sticks and faces using. Over the years, David's work has evolved into unique and complex sculptures complimenting the natural shapes and beauty of meticulously selected wood pieces. Where many see wood waste, such as downed tree limbs or decayed trees, David sees the potential and more. David likes to refer to his wood creations as "Wood in Motion".
Until recently, David's work has not been available for sale. But now it is through select galleries and designers. Contact David at his Lake Oswego, Oregon Studio by email at [email protected].
